Ralph Henry Weigand's Obituary
Ralph Henry Weigand, 77, of Bethel Park, PA. passed away on April 17, 2023.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Kathleen Lee Weigand; children Nicole R. (R. Scott Hanes) Weigand and Mark E. Weigand; grandchildren Rebecca A. (Kalle) Blindenbacher, Eiren R. (Kaleb) Van Horn, Brandon M. Weigand and Cullen S. Hanes; great-grandchildren Kain and Beau Blindenbacher; his brother Richard (Elaine) Weigand; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents Henry and Irene Weigand.
Ralph worked for many decades as a Chemical Engineer, and later on as an Ethanol consultant. Ralph enjoyed many hobbies in his life. He liked to go fishing in places like Canada and most recently in Savannah, GA. He was a member of the Mingo Rod and Gun Club where he participated in reloading and target shooting. He enjoyed computers and even owned one of the first models of computers. Reading was very important and Ralph loved e-books on anything from Fantasy, Science Fiction to Cozy Mysteries. The most important thing to Ralph was his beloved dog, Sandy. She went everywhere Ralph went, and was his best friend for many years.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday April 22, from 12-2pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, 15236. A funeral service will follow at 2pm, officiated by brother-in-law Reverend John Lee in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be done with Jefferson Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cottage Grove Church of the Nazarene at 284 Killian Rd. Akron, Ohio 44319.
