Ralph "Luffy"
Ralph Edward Marasco, 89, of McKeesport, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on April 26, 2016. He was born in McKeesport, PA, on July 30, 1926, to Luigi and Rosina (Gigliotti) Marasco. Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Elizabeth "Babe" Marasco. Also survived by son, Edward (Joyce) Marasco; beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Adam, and Eric Marasco; brother, Louis Marasco; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Joseph Marasco, Sarah Bukes, Mary Abbatangelo, and Angie Marasco.
Luffy was an avid golfer, long time and oldest member of the Bettis Thursday Night Golf League. He was a vibrant member of the community, volunteering at numerous food banks, social clubs and the McKeesport Little Tigers. Luffy was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, and was a member of the 11th Ward Welfare Association, American Legion Post 701, and Charter Member of the 6th Ward Athletic Club.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 29, from 1-4 & 6-9 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Blessing Service will be held on Saturday, April 30, at 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel, Father Bob Ahlin, presiding.
