Rachel Marie Potts' Obituary
Rachel Marie Potts (Gasior), 36, affectionately known as Rach to her friends and family, passed away on April 7th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, education, and inspiration. Born on October 25, 1987, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to GraceAnn and Richard Gasior, Rachel was a true Pittsburgh native through and through.
Rachel’s life was one of dedication and service. After earning her Degrees from Duquesne University, she embarked on a rewarding career as a Speech and Language Pathologist. For 13 years, Rachel nurtured and enriched the lives of countless students and families. Her fierce dedication to her profession and the lives she touched was evident in every interaction, leaving an everlasting impact on all those who knew her. Rachel was an accomplished professional and loving friend, whose extraordinary impact on the community and the children she helped is only surpassed by her true calling in life to become a mom.
In 2013, Rachel married her soulmate and love of her life, Joseph Potts, in a beautiful ceremony at St. Wendelin Church, followed by the most fun and memorable wedding reception her friends and family still fondly recall. Rachel’s life blossomed further as they built their home, which was known for its laughter, warmth, and unforgettable aroma of her famous pumpkin pies. As God’s blessings continued through 10 years of marriage, together, they raised three children, Noah, Lena, and Anna, who were her pride and joy. They will always remember her as mama, mommy, and our family’s Wonder Woman.
Rachel is known by all for her warm and fun-loving personality, and would light up any room she entered. She was a passionate reader, a runner, a phenomenal cook, Steeler fan, and avid beachgoer. She was truly an angel upon this earth who exemplified grit, grace, and determination in every aspect of her life, and we will all deeply miss her guiding light.
Rachel is survived by her beloved husband, Joe, and their three children, Noah, Lena, and Anna. Cherished daughter of parents GraceAnn and Richard Gasior. Treasured sister of Brian & Emily Gasior, and their daughter, Bella.
