Paul Raymond Tomanio's Obituary
Paul Raymond Tomanio, age 90, of Bethel Park, formerly of Brookline, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 24, 2021. Husband of 65 years to Millie (Bingham); father of Kathleen Weir and Daniel (Kathryn) Tomanio; grandfather of Jason, Douglas, and Philip; great-grandfather of Hunter; son of the late, Joseph and Amelia Tomanio; and brother of the late Joseph, Robert and Charles.
Paul was an Army Radio Operator stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict, serving in the 1st Infantry Division. For 29 years he drove for United Parcel Service.
Paul was happiest on the softball field playing for the South Hills Senior Softball League. At the age of 88, while fighting stage 4 cancer he could still hit, throw and run. Traveling with Millie brought new friends from around the world. As an active member of the Bethel Park Gold Card Club, he enjoyed calling Bingo in his own unique way. He attended Beechview United Presbyterian Church for many years.
He enjoyed reading authors such as Patterson and Baldacci; solving large jigsaw puzzles, Cryptoquips, and Jumbles.
He loved God, his wife, and his family with all his heart.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 28th from 12-3 P.M. and 5-8 P.M and May 29th from 10-12 P.M. at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh 15236. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 29th at 12 P.M. in the funeral home chapel.
