Paul Joseph Stowitzky's Obituary
Paul Joseph Stowitzky, 60, of Pittsburgh, passed away on July 12, 2016. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 5, 1956, to Mary Ann (Grgurich) Stowitzky and the late George Stowitzky. Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Julie Miller Stowitzky. Paul retired after 30 years with the PA Department of Corrections where he progressed from Corrections Officer to Superintendent. He was a member of the VFW Post 2754 Auxiliary, loved Pittsburgh sports, volunteering with make-a-wish, playing golf and spending time with his 2 grandchildren. In addition to his wife he is survived by daughter, Megan (Brad) Hodder; two sons Justin (Ashley) Krause, Corey Stowitzky; grandchildren Andrew and Maggie; siblings, Robert (Joyce) Stowitzky, Lee (Jack) Logue, and Jon (Jonni) Stowitzky. He is preceded in death by his father and son, Scott Stowitzky. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 & 6-9 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin on Saturday at 10 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish, www.wish.org.
