Paul S. Letender's Obituary
Paul Letender, Sr., 86, of Bethel Park, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 25, 1936, in Mt. Oliver, to his parents, the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Roeschenthaler) Letender.
Paul enjoyed a long career with J&L as a steel worker. In his younger years, he enjoyed working with cars. He worked as a pit man in Heidelberg where he also enjoyed racing alongside his brothers.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Diane “Dee” (Vogel) Letender; his children, Renee Reiland, Diane (Ed) Papciak, Paul (Christina) Letender, Jr., Laura (John) Shepherd, and A.J. Hunger; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Paul also leaves his sisters, Gerry Clibbens and Gwen Wagner; sisters-in-law, Sylvia and Darlene Letender; and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was predeceased by his son, Rusty Lowe; and siblings, Arlene Reid, George Letender, Jim Letender and Ron Letender; and brothers-in-law, Bob Clibbens and Jim Wagner.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pittsburgh PA 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday July 12, 2023, at 10:00 am, Nativity Church, 5811 Curry Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
