Paul R. Greeno's Obituary
Paul R. Greeno, age 75, passed away suddenly on April 20, 2025, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Born on August 20, 1949, in the South Side of Pittsburgh, Paul was a cherished member of the community and a passionate performer.
Paul began his illustrious career in the theater, participating in numerous productions at the Civic Light Opera. In 1977, he took a significant step in his career, moving to New York City, where he graced the stage in the Broadway production of Grease. His talents extended beyond performance, as he traveled worldwide promoting the "I Love New York" campaign, showcasing his love for the city that inspired him.
For over 15 years, Paul dedicated his skills as a stagehand at ABC, contributing to renowned shows such as All My Children and The View. His devotion to the arts was immense, reflecting a lifelong love for acting and theater. In his leisure time, Paul enjoyed the companionship of his beloved wife, Arlene, and their rescue cats, filling their home with warmth and joy.
Paul is survived by his wife, Arlene Greeno; his brothers, Richard Greeno and Howard Greeno; and a host of friends and colleagues who will forever appreciate his contributions to the arts.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Gerard and Ruth Greeno Brandt; as well as his brother, Gerard Greeno.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 24th from 12-2 P.M. at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, Pa 15236.
A Blessing Service will be held immediately following visitation at 2 P.M. in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
