Paul and Sandra D'Ascenzo's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Paul and Sandra D'Ascenzo, of Bethel Park, a couple whose love story spanned nearly six decades. Sandra entered Eternal Peace on Monday, September 15, 2025, followed shortly after by Paul on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, they departed this world together, just as they had lived most of their lives - side by side. Married on April 23, 1966, their journey was a testament to unwavering commitment and mutual adoration.
They leave their three daughters, Andrea D'Ascenzo, Lisa (Bill) Mills, and Amy (Jeff) Lengyel. Their grandchildren, Evan Gude, Jacob Gude, Tanner Mills (Danielle), Aidan Mills (Jordan), Asia Renee Mills, Calvin Lengyel (Cassie) and Cadence Lengyel. Also surviving is Sandra's siblings, Zane (Carol) Taylor, Cynthia (Fred) DeMetro, and Joyce (Barry) Veronesi, together with Paul's siblings, Christina Karol and Rocco (Carol) D'Ascenzo, and many nieces and nephews.
They are preceded in death by Paul's parents, Joseph and Edith D'Ascenzo, Sandra's parents, Arthur and Emma Taylor and siblings, Aileen Greiner, Arlene Decker, Dorothy Lachie, Ruby Brown, Beverly Brown, Patricia Litz, Nancy Mangery, Calvin Taylor, Lucille Kersten, Sylvia Taylor, Judy Taylor, Robert Miller and Dolores Hauth.
The couple shared an immense love for their children and grandchildren, dedicating their lives to them. Paul was heralded as a devoted and selfless husband, father, and grandfather whose actions spoke volumes of his love for his family. Sandra complemented him perfectly, being a wonderful wife and a playful grandmother who brought joy and laughter into their home.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A joint funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm in the chapel at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the Staff at Paramount of Bethel Park and Paramount Hospice for their care and support for Paul and Sandra.
