Patsy B. Anderson's Obituary
Patsy "Pat" Anderson, age 85, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully while surrounded by the love of family on Monday, January 12, 2026. Born on October 7, 1940, in Pittsburgh, Pat was the daughter of the late Karl and Goldie Budinger.
Pat graduated from Robert Morris College with an associate's degree. She went on to enjoy various positions in her professional life, most notably working in the accounting department at U.S. Steel and bookkeeping for local medical practices. However, her most treasured role was that of a mother to her children and later a Gammy to her grandchildren. Together with her husband of 42 years, the late Harold Anderson, she crafted a warm and welcoming home, where family values flourished.
A true enthusiast of family gatherings, Pat was known for her lively celebrations, particularly her spectacular firework displays on the Fourth of July. She enjoyed playing cards, especially Pinochle, and often sought excitement at the casino. A dog lover, she ensured that treats were always available for the neighborhood dogs.
Pat had a unique ability to connect with others, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered and never knew a stranger. She enjoyed chatting for hours on the phone with friends and family and was known to always be there for anyone who needed help. Pat will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
Pat is survived by her loving children, Diana (Mark) Weir and Jason (Beth) Anderson; and her cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Kaitlyn (Zach), Sarah, Alexis and Jordan. Pat was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first great grandchild. She also leaves her dear cousin, Joyce (Paul) Manns and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family from 3:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A service in honor of Pat will be held at 2:00 pm in the chapel at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Burial will be held privately.
In honor of Pat's love for animals, the family suggests memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Humane Society of Pittsburgh.
