Patricia Diane Thompson's Obituary
Patricia D. Thompson, 73, of South Park, passed away on April 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Somerville, NJ, Pattie moved around for some time before settling in South Park, PA where she started a family with her loving spouse Robert J. Thompson. Professionally she dedicated her time to being an administrative assistant for the Department of Energy, working her way up to the position of Executive Administrative Assistant. In this role she guided and supported her fellow assistants to ensure that operations ran smoothly.
In her thirties she found her footing in the world of dance. For 28 years she participated in tap, jazz and ballet classes at the local dance studio. The poise, strength and confidence shown on the stage reflected how she lived her life and encouraged others to do the same.
Pattie was a wife of nearly 50 years to the late Robert J. Thompson; a loving and nurturing mother to Robert P. (Stacey) Thompson and Stephanie Thompson; a cherished grandmother to Kayleigh, Kaitlyn and Dominic and sister to Traci (Harry) Streyle.
Friends and family are invited to visitation on Saturday April 11, 2026 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home 301 Curry Hollow Rd. Pittsburgh PA 15236. A funeral service will take place in the Funeral Home's chapel on Sunday April 12 at 12:00pm. All are welcome to attend.
