Patricia R. Stewart's Obituary
Patricia Hoffman Stewart of Clairton, Pleasant Hills, Jefferson Hills and Bridgeville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 11, 2024 at the age of 91. Pat was the devoted wife of the late William Stewart, daughter of the late Ruth and John Hoffman and sister of the late Jack and Robert Hoffman.
Pat graduated from Clairton High School and completed a secretarial program at a Pittsburgh Business College and then worked at a Pittsburgh Business firm before marrying the love of her life. After working for the Vice President of Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY, she and Bill returned to Pleasant Hills to begin their family. She loved her Lord and her church, Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder, a women's association officer and a choir member and soloist for 40 plus years.
She was married to her loving husband for 58 years before his passing, and predeceased by her grandson Christopher Smith in 2018. She is survived by cherished children and grandchildren: son Gregg Stewart (Joan) and daughter Susan Smith Tassone (Larry) and grandchildren Dr. Justin Stewart, Ryan Stewart (Stephanie), Jaimee Johnson (Andrew), Katie Smith Armbrecht (David) and 7 great grandchildren Rowan, Wyatt, Amelie, Marin, Charlotte, Isaac and Riley.
Friends and family are welcome on Monday, October 14, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh 15236. A committal service will take place on Tuesday, October 15 at 10 am, please meet at the funeral home. Following committal, a memorial service will take place at 11 am at Pleasant Hills Church, 199 Old Clairton Road, Pittsburgh, 15236.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Pat's name to Samaritan's Purse.
