Patricia Ann Snyder's Obituary
Patricia "Patty" Snyder, age 86, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of family. Born on June 20, 1939, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Jean (Utzinger) Reilly.
Patty was a proud graduate of the Spencer School of Nursing in Meadville, Pennsylvania, where she completed her studies in 1960 and began a fulfilling career as a registered nurse. Her dedication to her profession exemplified her caring nature and commitment to helping others.
On November 25, 1961, she married the late Robert F. Snyder, and together they created a loving home, raising four children. As a devoted mother, she exemplified selflessness and care, always putting the needs of others before her own.
Throughout her life, Patty's spirit of charity and service shone brightly. She was actively involved with Holy Spirit Church, where she served as both a catechism teacher and Eucharistic minister prior to its closure.
Patty had a passion for nature, particularly bird watching, and she took great pride in her ability to identify most species. In her free time, she loved playing the piano, tending to her garden, and was a passionate dog lover.
Patty was the beloved mother to Robert E. Snyder, Kathleen Snyder, Timothy Snyder, and Maryann (Mark) Patterson; and the loving grandmother of Bryan Snyder and Caitlin Patterson.
Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Snyder and sister, Gertrude Spadaro.
