Patricia A Michaux's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Ann Michaux, on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the UPMC Monroeville East Hospital at the age of 79.
Patricia was predeceased by her beloved Parents Willie B. Price and Laura Lee Price, Sister Dolores Price, Stepmother Christine Price, and Stepsiblings, Midge Mills and Gilbert Craggette.
Patricia is survived by her beloved children Sheldon Price, Tracey Wilson, Denise Robinson, and Michael Michaux II, Sister Dawn Gardner, Brother Hosea “Chico” Craggette and his wife Vanessa Craggette, 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was born to Willie B. Price and Laura Lee Price on December 23, 1941. Patricia was a woman of many talents. In her youth she became the first Black majorette at Beth Center High School in Clarksville, PA. After high school, Patricia chased her dreams and was an accomplished hair stylist, opening her own salon in Brownsville, PA.
Patricia broke many barriers by becoming one of the first women to be employed by the historic Vesta Coal Mine in Richeyville, PA.
Patricia was a loving community member, volunteering as a foster grandmother at Kansas Neurological Institution.
Patricia was a skilled seamstress and loved sewing and designing crafts. Her church family loved to gather around her for love and encouragement. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in July 1997. She became a devoted member to Inward Faith Outreach Ministries in Topeka, Kansas. She attended Menninger Bible College and graduated with high distinction.
