I remember teaching Patty to drive, not realizing she had never been behind the wheel of a car. Patty never said a word, got in drivers seat, put car in drive. She hit the gas so hard we ended up on school's property across the street. When I asked her if she had ever driven before she said no. I said ok. We need to start over, went around the car to return van to it's parking spot. Then we started over, laughing the entire time. It took 3 tries to pass her test. After first 2 tests, Patty said I will get it next time. Patty's face when she passed her test on the third try was pure joy and pride. I never seen her light up like that. Peaceful driving, Patty.
