Patricia Joan Magel's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Joan Magel, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved friend, who departed this world on January 28, 2025. Born to George and Mildred Breitinger in Pittsburgh, PA, on February 11, 1936, Patricia exemplified warmth and compassion throughout her life, leaving an indelible mark on all those who had the privilege to know her.
Patricia was known for her adventurous spirit and love for travel, often seeking the solace of warm destinations and creating lasting memories at Deep Creek Lake in Maryland. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether she was bowling with friends or sharing laughter in the company of her family. Patricia's compassionate nature extended beyond her loved ones; she dedicated her time to philanthropic endeavors, volunteering at local hospitals and making a difference in her community.
An active member of the United Methodist Church, Patricia's faith was a guiding light in her life. She cherished her church community, finding solace and strength in shared beliefs and collective support. As a mother to Patti (The Late John) Martino and Keith (Rebecca) Magel, her familial bonds flourished with love. Patricia treasured each moment with her grandchildren, Aaron and Haley, and beamed with pride as a great-grandmother to Trevor. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew. In celebration of her remarkable life, a visitation will be held on February 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. As we gather to honor Patricia's legacy, let us remember the joy she brought into our lives and the kindness she shared with all.
