Patricia A. Erickson, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on January 29, 2025, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Born on March 23, 1935, she graced the world with her warmth and kindness, for those fortunate enough to know her.
Raised in the neighborhoods of Mt. Washington and Baldwin, Patricia was a proud graduate of South Hills High School. Her career as a Unit Coordinator in the medical field reflected her steadfast dedication not only to her profession but, more importantly, to the well-being of others. Patricia's positive attitude and compassionate spirit touched the lives of countless individuals throughout her journey.
Family was the heart of Patricia's life. She was a devoted and loving mother to her children, Robert D. Winter Jr. and Heidi (Christopher) VanDyke, and an adoring grandmother to Brandon, Krista, and Heather, and her beloved dogs Zoey and Peanut. She cherished every moment spent together, especially during the family gatherings she hosted at her pool, where laughter mingled with the splashes of joy. Patricia found solace by the shores of Erie, PA, where the sun set upon memories made with loved ones.
Lover of card games and movies, Patricia had a playful side that endeared her to all. Her kindness knew no bounds; she embraced animals and advocated for their welfare with the same she reserved for her family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to a local humane society, ensuring that her spirit of generosity continues to impact the lives of those in need.
Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. She is survived by her siblings, Trivona O'Brien, Jerilyn (Charles) Schmidt and Howard (Teresa) Duing, and many nieces and nephews, who will forever remember her inspiring spirit and unwavering support.
A visitation will be held on February 2nd, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Jeffeson Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on February 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
