Nora J. Gordon's Obituary
Nora J. Gordon, age 98, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of family. Born on March 17, 1928, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late William and Agnes (Holzworth) Donovan.
Nora is the loving mother of Maureen (Robert) Gordon-Baniewicz, Susan (James) Clibbens, Nancy (Dominic) Costa and Tom Gordon; the cherished grandmother of Michael, Erin, and Brian Clibbens, Jennifer and Jessica Gordon, Kati (Michael) Dunker and Gregory (Melissa) Costa; and the great-grandmother of 5. Nora also leaves many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, John N. Gordon, Jr; her son, John W. (Donna) Gordon; and siblings, Mae Roberts and Ruth McGill and Richard Donovan.
Alongside her husband, John, Nora was a founding member of St. Germaine Church in Bethel Park. There she remained a dedicated lifetime parishioner. In her free time, she was an avid reader and was talented in both crochet and knitting.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 9:30 - 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Germaine Church, 7003 Baptist Rd, Bethel Park, PA 15102. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Nora may be made to Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Germaine Church.
