Nancy Ann Horan
July 8th 1938- April 8th 2021
Age 82, of Brentwood, PA, passed away peacefully on April 8th, 2021, surrounded by her son and his family. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 8th, 1938 to the late Roy and Rita (Callahan) Boden.
She was proceeded in death by her ex-husband and friend James F. Horan, and her sister Carol Wolfe (Boden).
Beloved mother of Kevin (Kaitlan) Horan. Cherished Nana of Ricky and Aliah Wasko. Mother of Lisa Horan and Grandmother to Nicole Gshinsky.
Sister of Ralph (Barbara) Boden. Cousin of Patricia (Daniel) Nist.
Aunt to Robert (Linda) Boden, Kathlyn (Skip) Gallines, and James Boden. Great-Aunt to four nieces and nephews.
She was a devoted mother to her dog and 'fur baby' Daisy Mae, who she loved to spoil.
Nancy worked for the Oldsmobile Division of General Motors for 30 years as the Administrative Assistant to the Regional Zone Manager.
She was a 1956 graduate of Saint Francis Academy and was a devout Catholic, who wouldn't hesitate to help others in need.
Nancy had a love for life, and enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family and wide circle of friends.
She was loved by many and will be remembered for her laughter and smile, kindness, strength, responsibility, independence, and love of singing, especially her favorite song 'You Are My Sunshine'. Nancy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Nancy's family would like to thank the staff of Apple Blossom Senior Living and Gallagher Hospice for their dedication and care to her in the last year of her life.
In her final years Nancy would often remind her son Kevin that life is short. Take the time today to tell someone you love them before it's too late.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Monday, April 12th, 2021 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A Blessing Service will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, April 13th in the funeral home's chapel. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.
In compliance with Pennsylvania guidelines, only 25 people are permitted in the visitation room at any given time. Please be prepared to wait outside. Face coverings are required for all in attendance
