Nancy A. Drury's Obituary
Nancy A. Drury, 93, of West Mifflin, PA. passed away at home, surrounded by the love of her family on May 4, 2026.
Nancy was a proud graduate of St. Joseph's nursing school, in the graduating class of 1953. Her professional career spanned a total of 42 years with over 20 years as a med-surg clinical nurse manager at St. Joseph as well as Jefferson Hospital. Nancy was very well known by other healthcare professionals and was well respected and revered in her work. She was known to stand up for her nurses and go the extra mile for everyone. Years after retiring, Nancy would be recognized often by those she had mentored and worked with.
In her personal time, Nancy was very passionate about Pittsburgh sports; from attending the 1960 World Series to cheer on the Pirates, to being a Steelers season ticket holder for decades and even attending Super Bowl XL. More than sports, however, Nancy's first priority was her complete devotion to her family. She would drop anything to help and support her children and grandchildren. Yearly family vacations to the Outer Banks were always treasured and she loved getting to travel whenever she could with her husband William. The memories made with Nancy will never be forgotten.
Nancy is survived by her loving daughters Lynn (Shaun) Lacey, Mickey (Bob) Rosche and Renee (Sean) Barrett; her beloved grandchildren Kelly (Anthony), Maura (Luke), Brett (Mallory), Liam (Rebecca), Ryan, Shane and Kylie; cherished great-grandchildren Calvin, Miles, Hannah, Jonah, Malia, Rhodes and Marcus; her caring sister-in-law and long time caretaker Darlene "Tiny" and her daughters Kim and Janeen. Nancy is preceded in death by her beloved husband William G. Drury and her brother Donald O'Brien.
A special 'Thank you' to Aunt Tiny, for being mom's primary caregiver. We couldn't have respected her wishes without you. A 'Thank you' as well to the wonderful caregivers at Visiting Angels and the care team at Suncrest Hospice for helping us care for mom.
