Nancy Quinn Clipper's Obituary
Nancy Quinn Clipper, age 88, passed away peacefully with her husband, Ron Clipper and devoted friend, Arlene O'Toole by her side, in the comfort of her own home, on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Nancy was born on November 11, 1935, in Clairton, the daughter of the late David and Ruth (Tandy) Crosser.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her first husband, James Lawrence Quinn; her grandson, Brian Quinn and her sisters, Lorraine Bodner and Dolores Satterfield.
The reigning Miss Clairton married Jim in 1953 and they were blessed with 3 children who they raised in the unique Bellwood neighborhood of West Mifflin, where she lived out the rest of her days. The couple was admired for their flair for dancing, particularly the jitterbug. Nancy, a cosmetologist by profession, later learned the game of golf and quickly became competitive. An enthusiastic Christian and longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, she'd host Bible study in her home, where friends so often became family, as the sign upon her home’s threshold accurately boasts.
Ten years after Jim's sudden death in 1985, Nancy remarried. Ron became affectionately known as “Pap Ron” to her children and grandchildren during their 30 years together. The two cherished their weekends with friends at their trailer in Mountain Pines Campground in the Laurel Highlands into their late 70’s. At home, they enjoyed dancing to the oldies, cozy evenings by the fireplace, warm afternoons on the back porch, and watching her family grow and grow!
In her later years, Nancy, who had already bravely, and with faith, overcome a multitude of physical ailments, faced the need for a leg amputation, and to even the physician's amazement, learned to walk on a prosthetic at the age of 85. As she ultimately declined physically, she kept her witty sense of humor, expressed love abundantly, and most importantly, continued to pray to her Lord with those who attended her.
In the words of our Lord Jesus “In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
