Nancy Lee Cassinelli Wilson's Obituary
Nancy Cassinelli Wilson, 80, of Clairton, entered into Eternal Peace on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. She was born on July 27, 1942, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Flo and Catherine (Rothbauer) Cassinelli.
Nancy is survived by her beloved brother, Floyd “Fluge” Cassinelli, whom she adored; her stepchildren, Cinthia Dunn, Tereasa Jenkins, Joel Wilson, Angela Keener, and Benita Kinion; and many cousins and extended family members.
Nancy enjoyed a long career in office management. She began her career with Westinghouse when she was just 19 years old and retired after 43 years with the company.
Nancy was a member of the West Jefferson Historical Society and a member of several Italian Clubs. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and enjoyed cooking many homecooked meals to share with her family and friends. Nancy was dedicated to her Roman Catholic faith and was a longtime parishioner with Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish.
During Nancy’s younger years, she enjoyed hunting and shooting Trap. She adored horses and the time spent riding. Nancy enjoyed dumpster diving with her dear friend, Kelli Carper and had a deep love for gardening, and flowers.
Nancy was a very caring person who would do anything she could for anyone. You always knew exactly where you stood with her. She adored her cats, favoriting “Tippy”, and her family was very important to her. She made certain to keep her family in touch with one another as best she could, even creating a family email called SMILES to ensure everyone could continue to talk. She loved her brother, Floyd “Fluge”, dearly, and spent her time caring for him.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A service will be held at 2:00 pm in the funeral home’s chapel. Burial will be held privately.
