Nancy Cardamone's Obituary
Nancy Lee Cardamone, 83, of Castle Shannon (formerly of Mt. Lebanon) passed away peacefully Monday, May 5, 2025. Nancy was born July 3, 1941 in Pittsburgh to the late Archie Bond and Minnie E. Barakat Tuning. She was preceded in death by husband Angelo A. Cardamone and a brother, Archie B. Tuning Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Gina Stoehr (Bernie) and Anita Hancox (Michael) and sister Sandra Formosa (John). She was the proud Nana of three grandchildren, Emily, Isabelle, and Angelo, in addition to many loving nieces and nephews.
Nancy lived a life of caregiving through her heartfelt care of residents and patients as a nurse's aide at the Baptist Homes and St. Clair Hospital and through her loving care of her husband of 53 years.
Nancy will be remembered as a sweet and loving wife, mother, Nana and friend who always graciously put the needs and comforts of others above her own. With her kind, empathetic and fun spirit, Nancy enjoyed a life surrounded by family and friends.
Family and friends are welcomed on Monday, May 12th from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh.
A Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday, May 13th at 10 A.M. in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
