Milly L. Allan's Obituary
Milly L. Allan, 83, of Clairton passed away on February 8th after a long battle with dementia. Milly remained strong until the very end.
Born on September 8th, 1937 in Martins Ferry, OH; Milly grew up in Clairton as the oldest of four siblings. Milly began her career at Irvin Works where she met her husband. She continued to work while raising her family; which was the most important job to her. She retired after her grandchildren started to arrive so that she could enjoy them to the fullest. Her most cherished titles were Mom and Mimi.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Raymond R. Allan only six weeks prior. Milly is survived by her children, Scott Allan (Malai) of Las Vegas, NV, Amy Allan (Dan) of South Park, Beth Allan of Lakeland FL, Celeste Mackulin (Kevin) of West Mifflin and Christine Allan (Michelle) of Cranberry Township; her sister Judith Hambright of Camp Hill; brothers James Clark of Severna Park MD, and John Clark of Bastrop TX. Milly was not only the best Mom, but also the best “Mimi” to Savanah, Alex, Mia, Emma, Purity, Connor, Blaze, Liam and Stella. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition, Milly was also proceeded in death by her parents, Mildred K. and Frank C. Clark.
To say Milly loved her kids and grandkids fiercely is an understatement. She always welcomed anyone and everyone into her home, especially the front porch. Many memories were made as friends and family often gathered there. Milly was a friend to all; her quick wit & beautiful blue eyes will be missed more than ever.
Visitation will be held Tuesday,February 16, 2021 from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
