The Family of Mickey: You have our deepest sympathy. We were in shock when we heard Mickey passed. I will always remember that she was my True Friend and I was her's. Only Mickey, Kathy and I know the whole story, but we had fun with it for years. We had a blast in the Sparklettes, going all the way to Notre Dame for a competition, and all the fundraising we had to do. We will miss you and hope you are at peace.. I was a new teacher at Brashear with my classroom across the hall from Michele. From my very first day she helped me with everything from finding supplies, learning the electronic gradebook, disciplining kids, figuring out schedules & routines, to realizing the importance of a strong union. I will always be thankful for her as she helped mold me into a successful teacher. And her wonderful cookies were always a treat! She absolutely had a place in my heart. RIP my friend.
