Michael A. Stepanac, Jr.'s Obituary
Michael A Stepanac Jr, age 76, of South Park, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026.
Michael was born and raised in Brentwood, Pennsylvania. He was the beloved soulmate and truest love of Sandy Hampel, and a devoted companion to his Golden Retriever, Desi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean Stepanac and Michael Stepanac Sr.
Michael earned his Bachelor's degree from Duquesne University. While he valued his education, his greatest source of pride was his service to his country. As a member of the U.S. Army Rangers during the Vietnam War, his dedication, courage, and exceptional skill led to his selection for the Special Forces, where he participated in 36 air missions. He carried the honor of his military service throughout his life.
Michael will be remembered for his patriotism, strength, loyalty, and the love he shared with those closest to him.
Services for Michael will be held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
