Michael Edward Madar's Obituary
Michael Edward Madar, age 94, of North Richland Hills, TX, formerly of Pleasant Hills, PA, departed from this world on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, to continue on his journey with Our Lord.
Beloved husband of 54 years to his late wife, Irene S. Madar. Brother to Anna Mae Smyda and Marie DelRincon. Son of the late Michael and Mary Madar.
Michael is survived by his beloved son, Michael W. Madar.
From his childhood in McKees Rocks, Pa, Michael went on to join the U.S. Army in World War II serving in France. Upon his return to the U.S., he married Irene and fathered one son, Michael. Working 35 years at Continental Can Company, he was involved in hobbies of model trains and radio control airplanes; he was a devoted husband of 54 years and wonderful father. With the passing of his wife, Irene, in 2008, he joined his son in Texas to live, discovering newfound, deep, rewarding friendships. There he became companion to his son’s dog Klondyke and continued his model airplane joys; enjoying them with the Monday Mullets Flying group. He also adored many of the neighborhood fur-friends. He never left his Pittsburgh roots, especially cheering on The Pittsburgh Penguins with fellow Pittsburgher, Judy Larose.
Services are private and have been entrusted to the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME INC. Condolences may be shared at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
