I have been a neighbor to the Kroll's for over 8 years. What a remarkable family. Mike is one of the strongest people I've ever met. It is no surprise he was a master bricklayer; he was built of all stone. But gentle, patient and giving too. I remember when we first moved in, a tree that bordered our property was much in the way. Mike offered to cut it down. The next day, it was gone. Till this day, I do not notice even a stump. His craftmanship was exceptional. Over the years, Mike would clear out fallen trees from our properties, and even plow our driveway of heavy snow. He did these deeds without being asked; his kindness was unmatched. His strength unyielding. His presence as our neighbor created such a sense of safety and security. He will be sorely missed.
I will forever remember the often occasions of greeting Mike outside as he gazed peacefully over his property from the perch of his deck, or overlooking his fence to his well-kept hillside. Mike will be cherished always as the best neighbor one could have. Rest in peace good Mike. We will always remember you, dear neighbor.
