Mercedes 'Marcy' Ann Adler, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
Marcy, as she was affectionately known, dedicated 40 years of her life to nursing, touching countless lives with her compassion and care. Her commitment to helping others extended beyond her professional life as she volunteered her time and talents to Project Linus, providing comfort to children in need.
Marcy's love for life was evident in her diverse interests. She had an unwavering appreciation for all kinds of music, which brought joy and rhythm to her days. In her leisure time, Marcy could often be found engrossed in games on her phone, a pastime that provided her with relaxation and amusement. She also cherished her vacation time at Deep Creek, where she created many treasured memories with her family.
Family was the cornerstone of Marcy's world. Her granddaughter was the light of her life, inspiring her with boundless joy and pride. Marcy was a role model to many, embodying strength, kindness, and unwavering support. As the heart of her family, she nurtured a home filled with love and laughter.
Marcy is now reunited with her beloved husband, continuing a journey of love that transcends time. Her legacy of warmth, generosity, and resilience will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Marcy's radiant spirit will be deeply missed, but her influence will forever remain a guiding light for her family and friends.
She is survived by her children Christopher (Kim) Adler and Jennifer (Jay) Cready; granddaughter Emaline 'Emmy' Cready; siblings Peter John (Paula) Marchetti, Mary Kay Marchetti, and James (Janet) Marchetti; as well as many cousins.
Preceded in death by her spouse Gary Adler and parents Peter and Alice Marchetti.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30. 2024 and Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 2 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Germaine Church, 7003 Baptist Rd., Bethel Park, PA 15102. Burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
