Reverend Melody Mwila Nanyangwe's Obituary
Melody was a passionate follower of Christ Jesus. She lived a life worthy of the calling on her life. Reverend Melody was a woman after God's own heart, a true and faithful servant of the Lord, and a bold witness of His love. Her life was a testimony of unwavering faith and devotion to Jesus Christ. A mighty prayer warrior and a devoted Bride of Christ, Melody led many to the Lord, sharing the gospel with a passion that never wavered. She was the founder of Woman After God's Own Heart, Inc., a Christian organization that reflected her life's mission: to bring souls to Christ and encourage women to live in the fullness of God's love.
Melody truly embodied the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Her heart overflowed with compassion and grace, and her hands were always lifted in prayer for others. When she wasn't praying, she was singing-her voice, both strong and sweet, was a gift that glorified God. She also loved gardening, nurturing the earth with the same care and joy she gave to people. Her flowers bloomed in radiant beauty, just as her life bloomed in service to the Lord.
Earlier in life, Melody worked for the Bank of Zambia, where she set and achieved many goals, driven by diligence and determination. Yet, her greatest joy was her family. She built a home rooted in patience, grace, and joy, raising her four beloved children- Joshua, Chibamba, Nataizya, and Mwila- with unwavering Christian values. She made sure they knew the Lord and walked in His ways.
Melody's children take comfort in knowing that she is now home with the One she loved the most. She lived boldly for Christ, never letting a mountain stand in her way without reminding it of the God she served. She ran her race with endurance, fought the good fight of faith, and placed every burden at the feet of Jesus.
In her final days, and with her very last breath, Melody praised the Lord. Amen, Amen, Amen, and Amen. We know that she has heard the words of her Savior: "Well done, thy good and faithful servant."
Her life was a light that continues to shine, and her legacy of faith, love, and devotion will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. May her soul rest in the eternal peace and joy of the Lord.
