Melissa was my sister from another mother! We had so much fun together as single ladies, as families and as mothers. We shared so much of our lives from weddings, concerts, vacations, schools, shows, to crazy times and fun times. I will miss you my soul sister! Working with Melissa in the office in Laurel was always pure joy! She was always helpful, kind and wanting the best for folks. Melissa was not only very bright but superior at working with people. The staff and students of Northwest Middle School send our sincerest condolences to the friends and family of Melissa. She was so very loved at work, by staff and students alike. Melissa was an amazing, caring teacher and a wonderful colleague. She truly had a one-of-a-kind personality. She loved her girls fiercely and talked about them every chance she got.
