Maxine C. Germeyer's Obituary
Maxine C. Germeyer (Kress), age 70, of Bethel Park, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 28, 2020.
Maxine is survived by her beloved husband John "Jack" Moslander; her adored children, Barbra Jean Kress, Joe(y) (Wendy) Kress, Richard Kress, John (Dawn) Moslander, and Jaison (Jessica) Moslander; and her cherished grandchildren, Madison, John Robert (Amanda), Darwin, Alex, and Kayla. She is also survived by her siblings, Dutch (Donna) Germeyer, Kate (Jack) Marks, Mike (Patty) Germeyer, and Tom (Patty) Germeyer. Maxine is also survived by her twin sister, Margie (John) Ehman. She is also survived by her sister in-law Patty (David) Staskowicz. In addition, she is also survived by her former spouse, Bob (Andrea Evans) Kress. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including Jen Spoonhoward, who gave extreme comfort and support during Max's illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Margaret Germeyer, her cherished siblings, Bill (the late Patty) Germeyer and Judy (the late Bob) Martin; her beloved niece, Theresa (Mike) Strayer; and adored dog, Lucy Goose MacGyver.
Max was a devoted gardener, who loved to spend time working in her yard with Jack. She also enjoyed playing bingo with friends at the Bethel Park "LifeSpan" Community Center, and was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and the "Lunch Bunch". She very much enjoyed spending time at the beach on her family vacations in Wildwood, NJ, as well as traveling to other fun places. And who could forget her elaborate holiday decorating? She spent most of her time enjoying the company of her family, friends, and neighbors. She will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5th, 2020 from 6pm to 8pm and Friday, March 6th, 2020 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Prayer Service will follow on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 at 10am at the Funeral Home's Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choosing in Max's memory.
