MaryAnn "MiMi" (Vogt) Swetkis
Age 54, of Baldwin Twp., formerly of Brookline, passed peacefully surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with breast cancer on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Beloved wife "MA" of 33 years to Ronald Swetkis; loving mother of Valerie Swetkis (Sheri Garofalo); cherished daughter and "Sweet-pea" of Joanne (Strobel) and "Sugarplum" of the late Charles "Chub" Vogt; devoted sister of Sharon Takos, John Vogt, Susan (Andy) Boltzhauser, and Jenifer (David) Swetkis; daughter-in-law of Robert M. and Janet Swetkis; sister-in-law of Bob (Elaine) Swetkis, Jr.; beloved aunt of Joanna (Andrew) Smith, Jesse Takos, Christopher Swetkis, Corey and Tyler Boltzhauser, Valerie (Christopher) Pederzolli-Stevens and their children. MiMi was a free-spirit, who made friends and conversation wherever she went. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was open to whatever came her way. She especially enjoyed family bowling, shopping, flea-tiquing. She treasured the times spent with her siblings. Her husband will forever be her true soulmate. Visitation will be held Saturday and Sunday 2- 8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 am in Resurrection Parish, 1100 Creedmoor Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15226. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Park.
