Mary Agnes Verno's Obituary
Mary Agnes Verno, age 96, of Pittsburgh, PA., passed away on December 18, 2022.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Diane Seles of Gainesville, GA, and Anthony J. Verno of Pittsburgh, PA., her siblings, Roy McMahon of Delaware, Helen Oross of West Mifflin, PA, and Margaret Segiel of North Huntingdon, PA. Her grandchildren, Rudolph Seles, Kellie Spontak, Joseph A, Seles, Tamara Fleckenstein, and Ronald Sumner. Also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony F. Verno, married since 1943, her daughter Gemma Stoermer, her granddaughter, JoyAnn McIntire, her siblings, Esther Rodgers, Richard McMahon, Thaddeus "Tad" McMahon and Marlene Kruszka, and her parents Richard and Regina McMahon.
Mary was a member of the Christian Mothers organization at Holy Angels Catholic Church for many years. She enjoyed cooking and baking Italian specialties. Most important to Mary was caring for her family and loved ones.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 10-12pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills PA, 15236. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12pm following visitation. A final committal service and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA.
