Mary Theresa "Terri" (Pusateri) Rutter, age 77, formerly of Pleasant Hills, passed away on April 17, 2016 at Baptist Homes in Castle Shannon. She was born on May 2, 1938 in Carrick, PA, the daughter of the late Salvatore Pusateri and Madeline (Parks) Pusateri Bickerton. She was predeceased by Foster P. Rutter on March 8, 2016 and Robert H. Ferguson on November 4, 1979. She was graduate of St. Wendelin High School in Carrick and attended Duquesne University. Terri was employed by Pittsburgh Plate and Glass as a computer programmer, working on UniVac, one of the first computer systems in the country. She was a caring stay-at-home mom for many years and retired with Foster to the west coast of Florida then to Pointe Vedra Beach before returning to Pittsburgh about two and a half years ago. She was a loving spouse and will be remembered for her love of music, especially singing and playing the piano, and her infinite dedication to her children. Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Charles Pusateri of Clearwater, FL; children, Terri Lyn Wylie and late husband Kevin of Alpharetta, GA, Robert Ferguson and his wife Maria Bedoya-Ferguson of Parrish, FL, and John Ferguson and his wife Amy (Balta) of Allison Park, PA; grandchildren, Patrick, Erin, and Sean Wylie, and Lindsey and Amanda Ferguson; step-children, Linda Rutter, Karen Rutter, and Susan Rutter Knapp; step-grandchild, Sarah Knapp. Friends will be received at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236 on Wednesday, April 20th, from 6-8 PM and Thursday, April 21st, starting at 10 AM, followed by a Catholic Blessing Service at 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association of Greater Pennsylvania or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
