Mary M. Mulhauser's Obituary
Mary M. Mulhauser, of Upper St. Clair, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13 at Friendship Village of South Hills, encircled by her family. She was born in Youngstown, OH, one of three daughters of Dr. Richard H. and Helen R. Middleton. Mary graduated from Kent State University in Ohio and pursued a successful career as a Fine & Commercial Artist. While advancing her artistic skills at Carnegie Mellon University, she met the love of her life, Ron Mulhauser, and was married to him for 57 wonderful years. Through terrific life adventures, the two resided in Pittsburgh, Chicago, Cincinnati, and Charlotte. However, Mary's most treasured journey was being Mother to Lynne Labee and Paula Mulhauser and being Nana to Sydney & Lily where she wore many hats: caregiver, chef, psychologist, health-care provider, teacher, friend, confidant and overall nurturer offering support and encouragement. A true fashionista, who never refused a shopping trip, and a house decorator like no other, she truly made the world a more beautiful place both figuratively and literally. Loved by many, we celebrate Mary's compassion for all (animals included), keen wit, dedication to friends and family, and her overall kindheartedness which made the world a better place. What she has done for others will always remain. A short celebration of life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2022, in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel located at 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15236. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution in Mary's honor can be made to Washington Area Humane Society in Eighty-Four, PA.
