Mary Margaret Hartner's Obituary
Mary Margaret (Gloeckl) Hartner of Brentwood passed away on Saturday, March 7, at age 94. She was a devoted wife of the late Roy Hartner and proud mother of the late Roy Jr. Hartner, Marta (Widow of Mickey) Drevitch, Mary Beth (David) Nobs, Ben (Debbie) Hartner, Kim (Vince) Palatucci, and Scott (Widower of Rebecca) Hartner.
She was the grandmother of Jennifer, Michael (Angie) , Christopher Drevitch and Amy (Sean) Kennedy; Nicholas (Devon) Nobs; Joshua (Rachel), Kyle (Courtney), Cory (Kelly), Lindsey (KJ) Prendergast; Vinny (Melissa), Jesse (Jordan) and Shane (Paige) Palatucci: Rachel (Patrick), Jake and Haley Hartner; Jonathan and Brian Hartner; and great grandmother of 10 children and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Margaret was preceded in death by her mother Agnes, father Martin, sisters Dolores (Gloeckl) Keeling and Ruth (Gloeckl) Zeffiro, and brothers Edward Gloeckl and Joseph Gloeckl.
Born July 11, 1931, in Pittsburgh, she lived most of her life in Brentwood. She was a loving, devoted wife to her husband, Roy, for 50 years and a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Known for her keen sense of humor and her bowling prowess, she was a dedicated worker for many years in a variety of industries and owned a ceramic shop on Brownsville Road in Carrick in the 1970s.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Aunt, and friend. A niche-side burial service will be held on Thursday, July 2nd, at 1:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Park (Administrative Building 301 Curry Hollow Road) followed by a celebration of life.
