Steve Piper
I am very saddened to hear about the passing of Bette Feduska. Bette and I have been exchanging Christmas cards for decades. Upon hearing of the death of my mother (Rhoda Nixon Piper, 1909-1983), Bette contacted me and through her and Fritz (I hope I am remembering his name correctly), I learned volumes about the Whetzell family. My mother was a Whetzell. Her mother, my grandmother, was May Elizabeth Whetzell Nixon, 1886-1937. I never had the pleasure of meeting Bette and I’m not sure how we are related but I feel like we were special friends. I send my deepest sympathy. Steve Piper (b.1945)
