Mary Redshaw Burich's Obituary
Mary Redshaw Burich, age 71, passed away April 24, 2017 after a long struggle with complications from aHUS. Mary was born September 18, 1945 in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. She is preceded in death by her father, John Wm. "Bill" Redshaw, her mother, Janet Gross Redshaw, and her daughter, Kathleen Ford Cecotti.
Mary is survived by her husband, Tom Burich, her sisters Jennifer McMillan and Rebecca Redshaw (Kay O'Neill), her brother, Jay Redshaw, her daughters, Amy Loris and Janet Tracy (Mike), her son, James Marshall (Corinna), her step-son, Tommy Burich (Holly), and step-daughter, Linda Burich. Mary and Tom have sixteen grandchildren and two great grand-children.
Mary was proud to graduate from Carlow College with honors while working at Children's Hospital and raising her family. Her joys in life were her grandchildren, reading, and music. She sang with the South Hills Chorale for fifteen years as well as the Sweet Adeline's.
The family will receive guests at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd, Pgh 15236, on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm and Friday, April 28, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home's chapel on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 365 Hospice or South Hills Chorale.
