Mary Ann Konopelski's Obituary
Mary Ann began her next life on August 16, 2023. She started this one in the Woods Run section of the North Side. Her family then settled in Brighton Heights. Mary Ann twirled a baton and marched like no one's business when she was a majorette at Oliver High School (Class of 1960).
She met her future husband, Mike, at Dance Land on the North Side. After they married, they had a son and daughter and settled in Pleasant Hills. Soon, the pair discovered their penchant for casino gaming and traveled often to Aruba and Las Vegas to partake.
Sadly, Mike cashed out in 2015. Mary Ann, however, eventually found happiness in going on casino trips with a dear friend. She also enjoyed cooking and her workouts at Planet Fitness. She never missed mass.
And then, suddenly, cancer arrived and stole everything. Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, her son and daughter-in-law, two grandchildren, one great grandchild, three sisters, several nieces and nephews, and many old and new friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Rosalia's Roman Catholic Church at a date to be announced.
