Mark Lewis' Obituary
Mark Lewis, 53, of Jefferson Hills, passed away suddenly in his home amongst family on July 4, 2017. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn (Sullivan) Lewis; father, Ronald Lewis; siblings, Lisa Giansante, Michelle (Walter Lebetz) Lewis and Troy (Kendra) Lewis; mother-in-law, Janice Sullivan and brother-in-law, Larry (Lisa) Sullivan. Uncle to Rachael (Lee Roy Jones) Giansante, Nicholas Giansante, Patrick Lebetz, Jacob Lewis, Gabrielle Lewis, Kaden Lewis and Sawyer Lewis. Great Uncle to Matthew Peterson, Lee Roy Jones III, Tara Lynn Jones, Lee Ann Sullivan, Luke Sullivan and Lilly Sullivan; as well as many friends and family. Preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Cole Lewis.
Deputy Mark Lewis was a 25 year Veteran of the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office. He served in many aspects of the Sheriff's Office; to include, Training Academy Instructor at the Allegheny County Police Academy where he taught firearms as well as physical training to police recruits. Mark also served the Sheriff's Office as a Detective in the Investigations Division where he served warrants. Mark had a strong passion for life and a great love for his wife, family and many friends. Mark felt blessed and humbled for being able to impact and influence so many lives, he will be deeply missed by many.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 7, 1-9 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Blessing Service will be held on Saturday, July 8, at 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Western Pennsylvania Police Benevolent Foundation, P.O. Box 444, South Park, PA 15129.
