Marjorie N. Snyder's Obituary
Marjorie N. Snyder, 94, of Pleasant Hills, passed away on April 11, 2022.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Mark (Audrey) Snyder and Merry (Gregory) Daniels; and her grandchildren, Landon Snyder, Keely and Aleana Daniels; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles H. Snyder; her sister, Mary Coy; brothers, Robert, George, John, Joseph, David Nelson; and infant siblings, Helen and Paul Nelson.
Marjorie was born on June 20, 1927 in Hawthorn, PA to Helen and John Nelson. She was a 1945 graduate of Vandergrift High School where she met her husband of 68 years, Chuck, and they served together as the President and Secretary of their senior class.
She was a graduate of West Penn School of Nursing. Following school, she worked as a Registered Nurse until she began raising her children, becoming the "neighborhood nurse". Later in life, she became a volunteer at Jefferson Hospital.
Marjorie was a long time member of the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church where she was involved in many activities over the years including recording books for the blind.
In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, tennis, Bridge, flower gardening, as well as bird watching.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 19th from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, April 20th at 11 A.M. at the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church, 199 Old Clairton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Please meet at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made in Marjorie's name to Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church.
