Marjorie Booth's Obituary
Marjorie Booth, the beloved wife of James Davin, passed away suddenly on Monday July 15, 2019. Marjie loved all types of music and sang at every opportunity. She loved to laugh and have fun along with being sensitive and very caring of family, friends and with anyone she had contact. Marjie loved animals, most especially her dogs, Gracie and Jessy. Marjie was born in Pleasant Hills, Pa, to her parents, James Ellwood and Dalphine Cole Booth, on August 7, 1954. She was predeceased by her sister, Diana; and brothers, Jimmy and Mark. She is survived by her husband, along with nieces and nephews. Marjie lived in Pleasant Hills and attended Thomas Jefferson High School before her parents moved to White Oak, where she graduated from McKeesport High School. She attended Robert Morris College. After several years more in the Pittsburgh area, she moved to Connecticut. While in the New London, Ct area, she worked in customer service for New Air Airlines and was a flight attendant for Pilgrim Air. She later worked 25 years for Cross Sound Ferry Service before returning to her beloved Pittsburgh. Marjie was able to buy back the house in Pleasant Hills she grew up in and spent many hours planning and decorating her home. She worked part time at Heinz Field and PPG Arena as an usher in her retirement, and was a member of the American Legion as well as VFW auxiliaries. Marjie was extremely happy and felt all her dreams had been realized. She will be missed by all. There will be two Celebrations of Marjie's life: Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 3 to 5 pm at Ryans Pub, 112 Fort Hill Road, Groton CT, 06340 & Saturday, October, 5, 2019 from 3 to 5 pm at Park Valley Lounge, 5916 Brownsville Road, South Park, PA, 15236.
