Marilyn Opferman's Obituary
Marilyn E. Opferman, age 91, of Columbus Grove, OH, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on June 15, 2025.
Marilyn graduated from St. Norberts Catholic School and built a successful career as a secretary. Her organizational skills and dedication were evident in all aspects of her life. She was passionate about sewing and needlepoint, often spending her time creating beautiful quilts that she lovingly gifted to her family, as well as to veterans in need. These quilts serve as a testament to her generous spirit and her desire to bring comfort to others
Marilyn is survived by her children Gary (Elaine) Opferman and Mary (Peter) Klein; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband Michael G. Opferman and sons Michael J. (Mick) and Mark T. Opferman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19. 2025 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, June 20 at 10:00 am in the funeral home's chapel. Burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
