Marilyn Joan Lee's Obituary
In the early morning hours on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the age of 91, a new star appeared in the sky. For this is when the angel Marilyn Lee was called home to be with our Lord.
Marilyn's life was spent as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. A faithful believer and server of Christ. She spent her free time knitting blankets and infant outfits for those she loved and for pro-life. She enjoyed simple pleasures in life, like attending musicals with her sister Dee Dee, playing scrabble & a good card game of 500.
Though a small petite woman, she had a ferocious appetite, especially for desserts.
The phrase to know her was to love her could not be truer than in Marilyn's case. She said little but brought great joy to everyone she encountered. We mourn her passing but rejoice in knowing that after a tireless life of love and devotion, she has peace and rest for a job well done.
She was Aunt Mimi to her nieces and nephews. Also, Grammy to her grandchildren and the local community.
Marilyn was proceeded in death by her loving husband Austin, her son William and her sisters, Margaret Orient (John), Ruth Lebarty (Joseph) and Dolores "Dee Dee" Bambach. She leaves behind her children Austin (Joyce), Gary (Nora), Maureen (the late Chuck), Patty (Steve) and Kathy (the late Gary). Her grandchildren Christopher, Zane, Garrett, Ronell, Marlon and Jason.
Great granddaughter, Luna and great-great grandson, Leo.
The family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to Dr. Edward Jew, III, Jeannie, and Joan for their many years of managing her health; Stacie Harper for being her personal aid and dear friend throughout the years; Blial and Diana Cook for their spiritual support & prayers; lastly to Hospice Nurse Jen McGoran for helping to navigate the family in keeping her comfortable.
Until we meet again, rest well you sweet woman!
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Tony Strong Foundation
