Marianne Judith Koza's Obituary
Marianne J. Koza, age 69, passed away on December 12, 2023. Born on October 28, 1954 in Pittsburgh to the late Eldon and Ann Kitzinger.
Marianne is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel Koza, and their loving children, Jennifer Koza, married to Luciano Ferreira, and Brian Koza. She was the cherished grandmother to Colton and Brooklyn Koza, as well as Danny and Matteo Koza-Ferreira, who brought immense happiness to her life. Marianne also leaves behind her caring sister, Nancy Wesolowski, and her husband Ray, as well as her sister-in-law, Christine Oeschslein, and her husband Ken. She is also survived by many nephews and friends.
Those who knew Marianne will remember her as the ultimate caretaker, a woman whose strength was as remarkable as her kindness. Her home was often filled with the sweet aroma of freshly baked cookies, a treat she loved both to make and to share, especially with her adored grandchildren. Marianne's artistic talents were evident in her proficiency with wordbooks and calligraphy, hobbies that she pursued with passion and grace.
Marianne's presence was a gift to all who met her, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and love. Her ability to connect with people was unparalleled, and it was rare to find someone who didn't love her after just a short time spent together. Her grandchildren, in particular, will carry forward the lessons of love and care that she instilled in them.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Thursday, December 14 and Friday, December 15 from 2 pm - 4 pm and 6 pm - 8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh 15236.
