Margaret Mary Sabo (Nagy)'s Obituary
Margaret Mary (Nagy) Sabo, 92, of South Park, departed her earthly life peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday evening, June 30, 2016. Margaret had a true passion for spending time with her family and friends. She loved people and had a special bond with everyone she encountered, especially children. Margaret had the most gentle and open heart. She was a best friend and a guiding light. She also excelled in sewing, crocheting, and cooking. Margaret took great pride for her work at Heinz during WWII. She also enjoyed her years working at the South Park Golf Course and at the Bradley House.
Margaret was born on March 25th, 1924 to Mary and Joseph Nagy. She was married to her beloved late husband, Samuel R. Sabo, for 60 years. Surviving are her children, Samuel Sabo, Robert Sabo, Sandra (George) Speicher,Mary McCandless, Dorothy (Jed) Jedlick, and Barbara (David) Whatley. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she dearly loved. Margaret was the sister of Eleanor Sisler, Andrew Nagy, MarySue Herman, and the late Rosella Orbovich. The family is forever grateful to the many that provided Margaret with loving and patient care. Without them, she would have never been able to enjoy her last years at home.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, from 11-8 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 10 AM, at Nativity Church, South Park. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
