Margaret Rauenswinter's Obituary
Margaret "Marge" Rauenswinter was called home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2025. She peacefully passed away at the age of 95 with her family by her side. Born on June 2, 1929, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Margaret lived a long Christian life rooted in faith, devoted to Christ, and guided by the teachings of the Holy Bible.
She is survived by her son Mark (Patricia) Rauenswinter, daughter Laurie (Dale) Cannister; grandchildren Brandon (Sherry) Rauenswinter and David (Heather) Rauenswinter; great-grandchildren Mark Thomas Rauenswinter, David Rauenswinter Jr., and Aleah Rauenswinter; her sister Claudia (Donald) Ziegler; and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert Rauenswinter; her parents George and Mary Chermak; and her sisters Elizabeth (Albert) Rossi, Mary (Donald) Warson, Anna (John) Yelen, Helen (Louis) Fix, Irene (Daniel) Hezeau, and Ruth (Jack) Pitman.
Friends and family remember Margaret as a warm and welcoming soul, always quick with a smile and generous heart. Her legacy of love will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Family and friends are invited to join for visitation on Sunday April 6, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home 301 Curry Hollow Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday April 7 at 10:00 AM in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
