Margaret "Cookie" Hruby's Obituary
Margaret A. Hruby "Cookie", age 95, of White Oak, formerly of West Miffin, peacefully embarked on her next adventure on March 22, 2021.
Cookie is survived by her children, Roger (Angela) Hruby and Pamela Johnston; grandchildren, Santo (Pam) Hruby, Maria Hruby, Derek Johnston, April (David) Johnston; great-grandchildren, Santo Jr., Quinn, Avery, Jionni; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hruby; parents, Andrew and Mary Dolinar; daughter, Debbie Hruby; siblings, Ann Dolinar, Andrew A. Dolinar, Jr., Mary Wilson, Carol E. Dolinar, Julia Dolinar, Sophia Dolinar, Frances "Billie" Dolinar, Frank Dolinar, John Dolinar, Charles "Sunny" Dolinar, JoAnn "Dolly" Dolinar, James "Babe" Dolinar.
Cookie and Raymond owned and operated Ethnic Pierogies in Duquesne for many years. She loved gardening herbs, vegetables and flowers. In her spare time, she enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles.
Her late daughter Debbie had a special place in her heart. Cookie took care of Debbie for her entire life until her passing in December of 2020.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021, 12-1:30 P.M. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021, 1:30 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236.
In compliance with Pennsylvania guidelines only 25 people are permitted in the visitation room at any given time. Please be prepared to wait outside. All in attendance must wear a face covering.
