M. Roberta "Bobbie" Hoffman's Obituary
M. Roberta "Bobbie" Hoffman, age 78, passed away surrounded by her loving family to join her beloved husband on Sunday, August 20, 2023.
Bobbie was the beloved wife of the late Jim Hoffman, with whom she shared 36 years of marital bliss. She was a loving mudder to her daughter, Nicole (Paul) Hinnebusch, and a caring step-mother to Jamie (Todd) Miller and Jennifer (Landon) Fries. Bobbie was also the cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she found immense happiness in their company.
She was the loving sister of Diane Ninness, Cindy (the late Steve) Gogarty, and Leslie (Ray) Judy. Bobbie was also the godmother of William "Billy" Buchleitner and Dawn Marie Ninness, and she leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Jim, and her parents, Donald and Marie Ninness, Bobbie's spirit will live on through the many lives she touched.
Bobbie was a woman of many interests and talents. She was sharp and loved to challenge her mind with puzzles and card games. An avid reader, Bobbie had a particular fondness for murder mysteries, often losing herself in the intricate plots and suspenseful twists. Her creativity shone through in her passion for painting clothes, creating unique and beautiful pieces that reflected her vibrant spirit.
Bobbie was also renowned for her culinary skills. Her chocolate chip cookies and bread, especially her Christmas bread, were legendary among family and friends. However, her most cherished role was that of a devoted wife to her late husband, Jim. Their love story was one of deep commitment and mutual respect, a testament to the saying, "Love is not about how many days, months, or years you have been together. Love is about how much you love each other every single day." - Unknown.
Bobbie was a woman of strength, intelligence, and creativity. Her love for her family was boundless, and her passion for life was infectious. She was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew her, and her memory will continue to inspire and uplift.
As we remember Bobbie, we celebrate a life well-lived, a woman well-loved, and a legacy that will continue to touch the hearts of those she left behind. Her spirit, her love, and her joy will forever be a part of our lives. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory continue to be a blessing to us all.
Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 10 am in the funeral home's chapel.
