Lynn McLain, age 80, of Jefferson Hills, passed away suddenly on November 2, 2018. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as a younger brother and a large extended family. She was a strong Read Obituary
My condolences to Lynn's family. I was blessed to have the opportunity to work with Lynn at John Deere Financial in Johnston, Iowa. She was a wonderful, strong, funny and friendly person. I enjoyed working with her and we often talked about our shared Irish heritage. She was a pleasure to work with and she will be missed. Bless you Lynn.

I have always considered Lynn as my long time best friend. We met in 1972 while we both worked for lawyer John Welch in Rutland, VT. We always remained best friends, even to 2018 on Facebook. I am saddened very much by her passing. My sincere condolences to her family and many friends.

To Lynn’s family: I am so sorry for your loss. I spent many hours with Lynn while she was in Iowa. She was full of encouragement while I went to school to complete my Bachelor’s degree. On Saturday mornings we would go out to have breakfast and then go to the quilt shops where she was always amazed that I could leave without buying anything as I am a quilter, and I guess there’s an unwritten rule that you’re supposed to get fabric when you go fabric shopping. Lynn was a woman who loved green and wore it with pride for her Irish heritage. She loved to visit Scotland and shared numerous pictures while she was there. I am grateful for the memories we were able to share. She will not be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with Lynn’s family during this difficult time.
Many of Lynn's former co-workers at John Deere Financial are saddened to learn of her sudden passing. She was a tenacious, outspoken and funny woman who provided many dedicated years of service to John Deere. She has been greatly missed since her retirement but she will never be forgotten.
